I was recently sent a package full of Freida’s Pantry Super Charged Food Bars, which are tasty snack bars full of nutritious goodness that have helped this exhausted, pregnant mama through some very tiring days! I’ve mentioned them before, in my hospital bag blog and vlog, but wanted to tell you a bit more about them because they’re fab!

With a toddler who, at 21 months old, either wakes up throughout the night or gets up for the day by 5am (sometimes both), I get exceptionally tired. Now I’m heavily pregnant that’s exacerbated even further and on some days I feel like I can barely keep my eyes open. I hate using bad food as a temporary fix for this but it’s a trap too easy to fall into thanks to it being so convenient. I’ve eaten more bread and sugar this pregnancy than I care to admit!

Freida’s Pantry Super Charged Food Bars are:

  • Energy boost for those looking for a tasty snack on the go or whilst working out!

  • Full of crunchy protein-packed Chia Seeds, delicious vitamin-rich Goji Berries and fibre-denseQuinoa which contains all nine essential amino acids

  • Blended by a top nutritionist, the bars combine some of the best known superfoods

  • Handmade in the UK using ethically sourced ingredients

Oats, Linseeds, Sunflower Seeds, Chia Seeds, Fennel Seeds, Almonds, Quinoa, Pistachios, Goji Berries, Raisins

Budding Smiles Reviews... Freida's Pantry Super Charged Food Bars // These babies are fab for tired and busy mamas, trust me I should know!

They’re really tasty and I’ve found them to be a fantastic pick-me-up either between meals when I’m flagging, or as part of a breakfast to get me ready to face the day. I’ve managed not to eat all of them and have saved half a dozen or so for during labour and the first day or so of breastfeeding, although Freida’s Pantry also make a Feeding Food bar, so I’ll be grabbing some of them to keep me going and help make sure my milk supply is doing well so that I can feed baby the good stuff!

You can find the entire Freida’s Pantry range and order them, on their website, so if you’re trying to conceive, pregnant, breastfeeding or a busy mama, then these are for you!

Have you tried Freida’s Pantry bars before? Any other tips for a natural energy boost for tired mums? Let me know in the comments below or get in touch on Facebook or Twitter.
