Brrr, getting chilly isn’t it? We’ve been up and down between -1 to a balmy +15 degrees now for a few weeks but that absolutely doesn’t stop us! Trips to the farm, country walks, stargazing, we just add some warm clothes and off we go for family trips in the countryside.
We had a whole 12 hours of snow the other week and the day before it arrived, we took a family trip to the farm to splash in muddy puddles and see the animals.

This afternoon, Toby grabbed his toy pushchair, walked to the door and said “Outside”, so we donned our boots, coats, hats and gloves and off we went! I took some pictures as we went around our local area because it was just a really lovely time and Toby was amazing, walking the whole way and pushing his pushchair for all but the last few minutes. We went to visit some horses and ponies, said hello to some people and dogs and waved to passing planes, it was brilliant!

And we're off!

And we’re off!

Quite often lately, just before Toby’s bed time, Phil has been making the most of the dark evenings by popping Toby in his snowsuit and taking him out to see the stars. It’s great to nurture Toby’s interests in the world around him and he often asks for the stars pretty much as soon as Phil arrives home from work.

I love Toby’s love of the outdoors; Phil and I are very outdoorsy types too so I know we’ll continue to have loads of family fun as the children grow up.
